Insieme al sociologo Thomas Casagrande autore del libro “Südtiroler in der Waffen-SS: Vorbildliche Haltung, fanatische Überzeugung” cercheremo di capire il contesto storico-sociale sudtirolese che ha portato molti giovani a voler far parte dell’esercito elitario del Terzo Reich.
La presentazione del libro prosegue la serie di incontri sulla storia del Sudtirolo organizzati da Diverkstatt, pensati per affrontare le molte questioni ancora aperte e conflittuali del nostro passato. La finalità di questo sforzo è quella di riuscire ad elaborare una memoria condivisa da tutt* i/le sudtirolesi per costruire insieme una comunità moderna, solidale ed interetnica.

Der Circolo Arci Diverkstatt und die Stadtbiblioteck Bruneck präsentieren eine weitere Veranstaltung zum Thema „Geschichte Südtirols“.
Wir haben den Buchautor Thomas Casagrande eingeladen, um sein neues Buch „Südtiroler in der Waffen-SS: Vorbildliche Haltung, fanatische Überzeugung” vorzustellen. Anhand seiner Familiengeschichte veranschaulicht Casagrande den Kontext, der viele junge Südtiroler dazu gebracht hat, ein Teil von Hitlers Elitenheer werden zu wollen.
Die Buchvorstellung ist die Fortsetzung eines längeren Projektes von Diverkstatt über die Geschichte Südtirols, das das Ziel hat, Streitfragen und konfliktreiche Ereignisse unserer Vergangenheit, kollektiv aufzuarbeiten. Dadurch wollen wir die Erarbeitung eines gemeinsamen Geschichtsbilds für alle SüdtirolerInnen ermöglichen und die Entstehung einer modernen, solidarischen und interethnischen Gemeinschaft fördern.
